The Knight Rider stunt sets
For a brief introduction to the Knight Rider Stunt Sets please see here.
The Knight 2000 Super Stunt Set
This set is based on the Dukes of Hazzard Barnbusters, and there were known versions produced in both Greek and English language boxes . The artwork for the Greek box is very similar to the Barnbusters box, although the English version has two box versions - KITT jumping over the ramp and the more standard barn buster style picture (see images below).
These sets appear to be much rarer than the Knight Rider Stunt Set. It also appears that, in the Greek set at least, the KITT car came in its own cardboard box. As you’ll know the Barnbusters set had no such luxury with the General simply being stored in a plastic bag. It’s also worth noting that the Greek version has writing on the side more in the style of Transformers than Knight Rider.
Images and information on this set are quite hard to come by, especially the English language version, so this is an image round up of what is available.
This is a rare image of one version of the English language box. The photograph is © Metropolis Toys and is used with permission.
